Biography

Artur Aslanyan (Russian: Артур Михайлович Асланян; born in 1970 in Ulyanovsk city, USSR) is a Russian physicist and mathematician.
He is a founder of ARAX Group and TGT Oilfield Services and holder of the Prize of the Russian Government In Science and Technology (2018).
Career
Artur graduated from Kazan Federal University in 1996 with a PhD degree in Mathematical Physics (specifically in Theory of Relativity and Gravity). He continued his academic career by lecturing Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the same university. At the same he joined prof. Nikolay Neprimerov's university team studying petroleum engineering in the area of subsurface rock properties, petroleum reservoirs, fluid dynamics and their practical applications in reservoir flow modelling and field development planning
In 1998 he founded TGT Oilfield Services, a petroleum upstream company and was heading the company as CEO until 2015 leading it to the international commercial success.
In 2015 he vacated position of TGT Oilfield Services CEO, remaining on the Board of Directors, and started a new venture under ARAX group of companies in the capacity as Board Chairman with the focus on petroleum asset digital twins, training simulators and digital assistants based on artificial intelligence.

Author of 40 scientific publications and 8 patents
Other activities
In 2009, Artur Aslanyan established the SMIT student scientific conference on mathematical modelling and information technology.
In 2017 he founded and became a Chairman of annual petroleum discussion forum DECOM.
