Nafta College presented PetroCup at International Technological Forum

Nafta College attended the International Technological Forum "Innovative Technologies in Mineral Resource Management – the future of economy", which was held on June 1-2 in Moscow at the Expocenter on Krasnaya Presnya. The forum was organized in honor of the 95th anniversary of the GKZ (Russian State Commission of Mineral Reserves).

During the Forum, Nafta College hosted the Russian PetroCup Ros-Project Tournament comprising five teams from scientific universities and organizations: ZapSibNIIGG, TyumenNIIProekt, TING, Tandem, Neftegazproekt. The tournament was won by the ZapSibNIIGG team.

The Nafta College team demonstrated the abilities of PetroCup simulator to operating companies and state industry regulators, showing that it is a tool capable of assisting GKZ in forming a list of university rankings across Russia.

On June 1, Nafta College Principal, Dr. Artur Aslanyan gave an opening speech, and started the PetroCup Tournament. On June 2, the leading expert of Nafta College, Vladimir Krichevsky summed up the results of the Tournament.

More than 500 people from 30 Russian Federation regions and foreign countries participated in the interactive sessions, including experts from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, experts from the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, and other states, representatives of the Russian Federation's Federation Council and State Duma, federal ministries and departments, and heads of leading operating companies.
