PetroCup Demo Tournament | Saint Petersburg Mining University
A PetroCup demo tournament was organized for students from Saint Petersburg Mining University who are enrolled in the talent pool training program for "RN-Yuganskneftegaz".
On April 13, 2023, representatives from Nafta College organized a demo tournament of PetroCup, an interactive field development simulator. The tournament was held in St. Petersburg, and was hosted by the youth policy unit of RN-Yuganskneftegaz and the Oil and Gas Faculty of St. Petersburg Mining University (SPMU) as part of the "RN-Yuganskneftegaz Day" program.
Five national teams participated in the tournament, with undergraduate and graduate students from the Oil and Gas Faculty of SPMU enrolled in various disciplines such as "Field Development and Exploitation", "Petroleum Geology", and specialized programs that provide professional training to work at RN-Yuganskneftegaz.
The tournament was attended by 45 students from the Oil and Gas Faculty of SPMU.
The purpose of the tournament was to introduce petroleum students to the functionality of PetroCup and provide a practical demonstration of how the simulator can be used for educational purposes. Additionally, the tournament aimed to identify possible ways for cooperation between the operating company, the university, and Nafta College.
