Practicum

PetroCup-Practicum

PetroCup Practicum is an individual or group training session on the innovative interactive PetroCup simulator. During the Practicum, participants gain full control over a digital asset twin of an oil and gas field based on real data from the Nafta College library. The Practicum format offers a unique opportunity to virtually step, through the simulator's web interface, into the role of an oil and gas asset manager and implement an unlimited number of development scenarios and workovers.

The Practicum is divided into stages — "Shots", each of which simulates one year of digital asset twin development.

Key Features of the Practicum

Freedom to experiment
Participants decide independently when to perform "Shots" and can test various development strategies, scenarios, and workovers within the allotted time
Real-time operation
All participants' actions are instantly reflected as economic and technological performance indicators resulting from their interaction with the asset
In-depth analysis
After the Practicum, you can access the "Debriefer" — a detailed analytical report that helps assess the effectiveness of the chosen scenarios and workovers performed. Artificial intelligence tools and technologies are used in generating the report
Flexible format
The Practicum allows for improving and developing personal and team cross-functional, multidisciplinary skills and competencies

PetroCup Practicum is an effective educational tool for gaining valuable hands-on experience, testing hypotheses in a virtual environment, and practicing management skills without the risks and costs of real fields. The Practicum runs fully automatically, allowing the user to focus entirely on learning under conditions as close to real as possible.
